One of the unexpected parts of becoming a member of Film Independent is that I am a voting member in the Spirit Awards.  I am sure I was told that but deep in my work on my own screenplay, I haven’t looked up much in the last eight months.  I finished the eleven digital screeners yesterday and I’m diving into this stack next.  There are some I adore, there are some I dislike and some that I don’t understand why there is so much overblown praise about.  I am taking notes as I go and I will post a short blurb on everything I saw once I am done.  It really has been a master class in movie making!
